Climate Action Addingham
The Civic Society has joined forces with our Parish Council to tackle the issues surrounding Climate Change in the Village. The new Group is called Climate Action Addingham (CAA). It’s Purpose is to work together with all village groups (clubs, churches, societies and other organisations), businesses and residents to tackle the twin global and local challenges of climate change and biodiversity loss and to promote sustainable living in Addingham.
This is an important initiative and the Civic Society and it’s Environment Group are delighted to be working hand in hand with our Parish Council to help tackle the Village’s challenges associated with Climate Change. Look out for more information in the coming months and please also check out our Environment Group’s own website from time to time…..
Our Parish Council have a dedicated page on their own website including the Minutes of the CAA Committee Meetings and it’s Terms of Reference. Currently the Committee is made up of Simon Tennant Chairman Addingham Parish Council, Jim Robinson Chairman Addingham Civic Society, Parish Councillors Graham Sutcliffe and Wes Wilcox and Rick Battarbee and Jan Hindle from the Society’s Environment Group Steering Committee.
